Join Kings Club?
Kings Club offers its young people a safe environment, and the opportunity to make friends, have fun, and learn more about God's values.
We would like to tell you more about the work we do:
|Day:||Monday during term Time|
|Time:||6:15 - 7.30pm|
|Venue:||Upper Gornal Methodist Church|
Kings Club is for children aged between 7 and 13 years.
It is a very informal gathering whereby the children can play and socialise in a safe and relaxed, comfortable environment.
The children (between 10 and 14 in number) actively participate and support each other during the activities lead by volunteers, and leaders from within the Church.
A typical evening would commence with board games, colouring or sport events. Once everybody has arrived and settled we continue with further activities including table tennis, pool, volleyball, dodgeball and other team games. A theme throughout the evening is teamwork and supporting each other. We always have a craft session of some description, where the children are encouraged to design, make or cook something (which they take home).
There is a break for refreshments, followed by "circle time" - which is lively and interactive, with the children reflecting upon what has happened during the previous week.
Is this a new signing for Kings Club?!
Wow! What do we have here?
Manchester United & England teenage sensation Marcus Rashford with David Barlow at the airport. Surely, Kings Club is not about to make the biggest signing of the summer!
David modestly played the incident down, commenting that a signing of this magnitude was unlikely. Instead, David insisted that while sitting down minding his own business, it was Marcus Rashford who came over to him, and asked David to shake his hand! - Really!
All sounds a bit of a tall story to me!
