Ladies Prayer Breakfast
On Saturday 20th January 2018 there was a Ladies Breakfast @ Upper Gornal Methodist Church (9.30 - 11.30am).
Aims of the morning:
During the morning we did the following:
- Eat breakfast (of course)!
- Worshipped & prayed
- Listened to testimony - by Alannah Roberts
- Raised money for the Georgina Ward in Russells Hall Hospital
Was it good?
With our lives being so busy and filled with commitments it was lovely to spend time with other ladies to worship, pray and reflect on our journey with God.
We were blessed with a testimony from a young lady named Alannah. Many of us knew of her story and have prayed for her in the past. It was a blessing to hear what God had done for her and her family and the gift of a baby which she never thought she would have.
Thank you to the fifty ladies who attended this special morning from our local churches and community.
Thank you also to everyone who helped in any way.
Each person was asked to donate £2 to the Georgina Ward in Russells Hall Hospital. We collected £115. Thank you for your donations. This money has been sent through Alannah, who will be pleased, as this is one of her charities that she supports.
Another Ladies Breakfast?
Yes - we will organise another event later in the year.
Hope to see you then!
