God helped me as I was having a stroke

In 1993 I let the Lord Jesus into my life as my Saviour. This changed my life and has given me hope.  I gained this through prayer and reading the word of  GOD.

In January 2003, I was driving through Upper Gornal, and had just passed Upper Gornal  Methodist Church when l was unable to lift my left leg or arm and lost my balance. I Stopped the car unable to speak to anyone.  I sat for a short time unsure what to do.  I asked God ”What can I do ,what can you do for me ?" Then I felt a calm and was able to drive home. I believe the Lord gave me strength at this needy time.  I had suffered a stroke.

I was in hospital for several months unable to stand or walk.  I prayed and asked for strength and guidance. Thanks to a team of dedicated physiotherapists  and encouragement from God, I learned to walk again.  My faith and belief in God drove me forward to get stronger. Over the years both my wife and I have had some very difficult situations to cope with we have been sustained through our faith in the Lord Jesus.

I would encourage those who do not have Jesus as their  Saviour, to ask him to come into their lives and rejoice with him. I have proved what the Bible says: ”I can do all things through Christ who has strengthened me.”     Philippians 4: 13
